OUR STORY
Limitless Academy CIC offers an alternative to traditional classroom-based education because we wish to improve the lives of underrepresented young people and significantly impact their society. We assist young people in enhancing their employability, developing transferable skills, and improving their own futures through sports-themed mentoring, whilst helping to develop their attitudes and behaviours, and personal development.
2019 saw the founding of Limitless Fitness Centre by four directors. The four motivated ladies and males decided to explore the possibility to establish a business that can have a long-lasting effect on the neighbourhood after growing up in Birmingham's inner cities.
We aim to create a relaxed, safe, inclusive and fun atmosphere. Our objective is to increase accessibility to all our activities for those with a disability or those without. We strive to help and provide a wide range of inclusive opportunities, advice, and training for those who are identified as needing support by utilising our knowledge and real-world experiences. Our sessions are adapted to include all ability levels, which ensures that people enjoy the sessions, develop social skills and explore their abilities.
We create an environment that allows the community to develop life skills whilst having fun. It removes social awkwardness and allows people to interact, make friends with peers and feels less excluded from society. Regardless of their pasts, they can create a brighter future for themselves. This might occur as a result of struggles with things like mental illness, addiction, poverty, deprivation, exploitation, and vulnerability to a life of crime.
Our Mission Statement
As a service provider, our main objective is to empower young people who are at risk and provide them with the knowledge and skill, they need to navigate through the difficulties within the modern world.

CHANEL MCLEOD
Director
I am a single mother who faced financial and time constraints while trying to provide extracurricular opportunities for my two daughters. Despite my own challenges, I pursued my dream of becoming a teacher while working full-time and managing a business. However, the cost of childcare prevented me from being able to afford activities like sports, homework clubs, and holiday clubs for my children. This inspired me to establish Limitless Academy, a company designed to provide financial assistance to families who are also struggling to afford extracurricular activities for their children. The company offers tailored support services to help families overcome their financial obstacles and enable their children to participate in activities that enhance their personal growth and development.

I have extensive experience working with individuals between the ages of 8 and 24 in children's residential homes, with a focus on providing therapeutic care. In this role, I supported young people in identifying and overcoming barriers to prepare for adulthood and provided supervision and monitoring as needed. I maintained accurate written records and prioritized the protection and safeguarding of children both within and outside of the home environment. I also assisted older children in developing independence skills and ensured that all children adhered to appropriate behavioural expectations.

I have a passion for working with children, young people, and parents to make a positive difference in their lives. Limitless has experience working with families from disadvantaged backgrounds, and we have developed effective strategies for interacting with and supporting them. I recognize that many children and young people lack self-confidence and trust in others, and have difficulty interacting with outside organizations such as the police, schools, colleges and local authorities due to a lack of cultural representation and role models. I have learned how to establish genuine relationships with these individuals, empowering and inspiring them to access a variety of services, including free recreation sports and therapeutic care.

I have extensive experience working with young people, with 10 years of experience working as a children and young people practitioner. I have worked with many children and young people who are at risk of exploitation and who have suffered from adverse childhood effects. I am also a qualified sports lecturer working in Birmingham-based secondary schools, behavioural units and colleges. My experience has derived from her own personal journey, growing up in a deprived neighbourhood in Birmingham made me very passionate about becoming a positive role made and wanting to make a significant impact on young people. I have a unique talent for helping, educating, and inspiring young people and disadvantaged families. I can change my technique to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds and I relate to young people very well. As a result of my passion, motivation and commitment, I believe I have accomplished a great deal of amazing work in Birmingham.
